Who am I?
I am Josephine Lade, an Orthopaedic Massage Practitioner. I have been working with patients with chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions for 15 years. I work privately out of two Doctor’s surgeries – one in Cumbria, one in Wensleydale where I see patients who come to me through word of mouth and by referrals from the GPs themselves.
What some of my patients say about me:
“Jo has proved to be a great asset in managing my health and is always well informed, up to date and looking at ways to help her clients as much as possible. Her work with Logic is testament to that. Highly recommend.”
“Jo has come to my rescue on more than one occasion, to assist with injury management during training and work related pain management. Jo`s approach to treatment is extremely professional, person centred and informative. Understanding what`s hurting and why is such a benefit when you are managing an injury and rehabilitating. I would highly recommend Jo to anyone experiencing musculoskeletal pain, her knowledge, skills and treatment techniques can achieve positive results for such a wide range of injuries.”
“I went to Jo for help at a time when intermittent back and hip pain and the related anxiety had become too regular in my life. From the first session she allied an engaged, no nonsense approach with confident practical skill and evident depth of knowledge. It inspired confidence and more importantly, it worked. Jo’s subsequent development of her range and practice are a reflection of her talent and dedication.”
“Jo is amazing at her job, very professional, and I would highly recommend Jo.”
I grew curious about pain after working with many patients who had completely different experiences of pain, sometimes from the same or similar conditions and this led me to begin my journey into the wonderful and weird world of Pain Science! I have completed courses run by the NeuroOrthopaedic Institute most recently and am always open to new learning – whether it’s structured courses, reflecting on events and best practice, reading research and books or learning from my patients!
I see it as part of my role to pass on the knowledge I have gained over the past 15 years – I know that everyone NEEDS to know this stuff and see how it revolutionises people’s lives! I’d love to see you at the next Workshop – get signed up and come and find out what you’ve always needed to know – I promise you – Pain really is the most fascinating subject you never knew you needed to know about!
